John Daly was able to find love despite his four bad marriages.

With his collection of zany clothes, penchant for life-destroying vices like gambling and booze, and complete disregard for what others think of him, John Daly has earned the moniker “Wild Thing.”

He stunned the golfing world when he won the PGA Championship in 1991, but he has failed to maintain his level since then. Daly had no luck in the love department as well.

He’s been married four times and divorced each time. The 55-year-old is currently planning his sixth marriage with his fiancée, Anna Cladakis.

The Fifth Time Is a Charm

Daly met Cladakis in 2007 while working as a publicist for Hooters amid his divorce from his fourth wife. Daly seemed to be at ease with his life since meeting Cladakis, and she was working as a promotional director at Hooters.

In 2014, the couple decided to take things slowly and got engaged. Cladakis, who has been credited for taming golf’s erstwhile “Wild Thing,” helped Daly become healthier and modify his ways.

Corey McKernan, the golfer, gushed about her beneficial influence on him in an interview.

He gushes about how she is one of the most supportive people in his life and that she assists him in many aspects of his life, including dealing with sponsors and scheduling his zoom interviews.

The interviewer then questioned him if he would have listened to her if he had been younger.

“That’s a good question. But I think I would because of the support. No other woman tried to help me like Anna.”

Despite the fact that both of them had children from prior marriages, the pair does not have any children together.

Marriages in Peril

Daly’s first marriage was to Dale Crafton, an Arkansas hand model, in 1987. Crafton’s hometown of Blytheville, Arkansas, was chosen as the couple’s new home, but he found himself bored and unhappy in the little town.

It became too much for them, and they divorced two years later.

Daly met his second wife, Bettye Fulford, just two months after the divorce, and their relationship was fraught with controversy from the outset.

He discovered Fulford was ten years older than he had assumed and that she had a 13-year-old kid, leading to their breakup. They made amends, however, and married in 1992.

Fulford gave birth to Daly’s daughter, Shynah Hale, not long after. After assault charges surfaced, the marriage did not survive long, and they divorced in 1995.

Daly married for the third time to Paulette Doan, whom he had briefly dated while on a sabbatical from his second wife.

Daly and Dean reunited and married after his divorce from Fulford was finalized. Sierra Lynn was Daly’s second child with Dean.

The marriage was just as difficult as the ones before it, and they split after four years.

Sherrie Miller, a Memphis native, was Daly’s second wife. John Patrick Daly II, Daly’s first and only child, was born to the couple.

However, their marriage fell apart in 2007 after a quarrel in a restaurant, and they divorced in 2010.

Despite his previous marriages, the pro golfer was determined to find love, and he did so with Cladakis.
