Brett Lee, one of the finest and quickest bowlers in the world, was born on November 8, 1976, in the Australian neighborhoods of Oak Flats and Mount Warringal parents metallurgist Bob and piano instructor Helen. His younger brother Grant is also a former state-level athlete who is now a CPA, while his older brother Shane is a retired all-rounder. He went to Oak Flats High School and Balarang Public School. Dennis Lillee, who later served as his mentor during his formative years, is revered by him.
Career
Since he was a little child, Lee has been enamored with cricket and has always wished to be a fast bowler. He began playing cricket with the Oak Flat Rats junior squad. Brett Lee eventually earned a spot in the New South Wales side, where he won over Australian captain Steve Waugh with his outstanding play in U-17 and U-19 competitions.
He was eventually chosen for the Australian team after making his debut in 1999 against India. By taking seven wickets, Lee outperformed the competition.
