She was aware of this, but her shy demeanor kept her from abandoning her pursuit of additional science education.

Professional Career

Cara left the University of California, Los Angeles to pursue other interests. She began her broadcasting career as a sports producer at KCOP-TV/UPN-13.
She also hosted a weekly talk show on which she discussed sports in Los Angeles. She later worked as a production assistant and tape engineer for Fox Broadcasting.
She continued to make business contacts. Later, she left Fox to become the sports director for KCTZ-TV (a former partner of Montana Television Network).
KPAX-TV, another MTN member, hired him as a sideline reporter, analyst, and play-by-play commentator for men’s and women’s collegiate athletics.
Her most recent contract was with KRIS-TV, where she worked as a reporter and weekend sports anchor before landing a job at ESPN.
