The duo is well-known for founding Universo Paralello, a Bahian electronic music festival. In his hometown of Goiania, he finished primary school alongside his non-identical twin brother Bhaskar Portillo. Alok and Bhaskar began their musical careers together in 2004.
The Journey Started
Alok was drawn to music since he was a child, owing to the melody in his blood. At the age of ten, he began studying music and remixes at his father’s rehearsal studio. Alok and his brother created Logica, a collaborative effort producing psytrance, in 2004 when he was 13 years old.
They were well-known in their hometown for their music, but he rose to prominence late in 2010. In 2012, he began his solo career with a venture house and released his first solo single, ‘Superstition.’ Following that, he recorded additional albums under various labels, including several solos and a few collaborations.
