Dominique Fishback is an American actress and playwright best known for her roles on HBO’s Show Me a Hero as Billie Rowan and HBO’s The Deuce as Donna ‘Darlene’ Pickett.

She made her television debut in the first season of the Cinemax historical medical drama The Knick, starring Clive Owen, in the episode “The Busy Flea.”
Her guest roles as Keisha in the Showtime drama series The Affair, Nicole in the FX espionage thriller The Americans, Charelle Tyler in the CBS police procedural drama series Blue Bloods, and Elan in the USA Network comedy-drama series Royal Pains were among her many television appearances.
Fishback rose to prominence after playing single mother Billie Rowan in the HBO drama miniseries Show Me a Hero. Oscar Isaac, Alfred Molina, Winona Ryder, and Jon Bernthal appeared in the six-part miniseries adaptation of Lisa Belkin’s eponymous 1999 novel, which aired from August 16 to August 30, 2015.
Darlene in the HBO historical drama The Deuce was her first major television role. From September 10, 2017, through October 28, 2019, the ’70s-’80s NYC drama aired for three seasons. The drama series also included James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, among others, in addition to Fishback.
She went on to star as Najja in HBO’s late-night sketch comedy show Random Acts of Flyness, where she gained even more popularity and exposure.

Fishback has had major appearances on the big screen in addition to her television work. In 2018, she made her feature film debut as Angel Lamere, the lead character in the drama film Night Comes On. Later the same year, she starred in the drama film The Hate U Give as Kenya, the best friend of the main character Starr Carter (played by Amandla Stenberg).
She was most recently seen in the 2020 superhero film Project Power, starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as Robin. In the upcoming biographical drama film Judas and the Black Messiah, she will star alongside Daniel Kaluuya, Lakeith Stanfield, and Jesse Plemons.
