Do you know Who is Eddy Curry?
Eddy Anthony Curry Jr., born December 5, 1982, is an American retired professional basketball player best remembered for his time with the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, and Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also spent a year with the Chinese Basketball Association’s Zheijiang Golden Bulls.
Curry stands 7 feet 2 inches (2.13 meters) tall and weighs 300 pounds (136 kg.). He has black hair and black eyes as well.
Curry was born in Harvey, Illinois, to Gayle and Eddy Curry Sr. He has two sisters, Nicole and Beth, as well as a brother named Jason. Curry wanted to be a gymnast before falling in love with basketball, and it wasn’t until seventh grade that he joined the basketball team at Thornwood High School in South Holland, Illinois. He has crowned Illinois Mr. Basketball in 2001 after leading his team to second place in the IHSA State Playoffs. Curry received a full scholarship to DePaul University after a stellar high school basketball career but then elected to make himself eligible for the NBA draft in 2001.
So Curry’s professional career began when he was drafted fourth overall by the Chicago Bulls, and his contract signing with the Bulls accelerated both his professional basketball career and his net worth. Curry was a good player for the Bulls for a few years until it was revealed in the 2004-2005 season that he had an abnormal heartbeat, which caused him to miss most of the season. The Bulls asked Curry for a DNA test to check if he had a congenital heart problem, but he declined, therefore he was traded to the New York Knicks, for whom he played from 2005 until his release in 2011. He was signed by the Miami Heat before the end of the season, where he played for two years and helped the team win the 2012 NBA Championship.
Curry signed with the San Antonio Spurs in 2012 but did not make the final roster. He later joined the Dallas Mavericks but only appeared in two games. His ten-year NBA career aided in significantly increasing his net worth. Curry then signed with the Zhejiang Golden Bull of the Chinese Basketball Association at the end of 2012 and stayed with the team for a year until retiring from professional basketball in 2013. Even though his tenure with the Chinese Basketball Association was brief, it contributed to his wealth. Since then, there has been no word of his whereabouts.
Curry’s net worth is reported to be more than $5 million as of late 2018, according to credible sources, derived primarily from his years playing professional basketball.
