With her brother Damien Perry, she was raised in New South Wales. She attended Beecroft Primary School in New South Wales and Pymble Ladies College in the same state, where she earned her high school diploma.

Career

Since she was young, she had a passion for athletics and sports. She insisted that her father teach her how to play cricket and football. Ellyse Perry was chosen to represent New South Wales in the interstate under-19 tournament as a result of her dedication and hard work. Ellyse Perry was chosen for the Australian young squad due to her exceptional play in the under-19 tournament.
