The great chef ‘Floyd Cardoz’ was killed by Coronavirus!!

After competing on “Top Chef,” chef ‘Floyd Cardoz’ won “Top Chef Masters.” Also, who owned popular restaurants in both India and New York, died on Wednesday as a result of coronavirus complications, according to a corporate statement. He had been 59 years old when he died.

He flew from Mumbai to New York via Frankfurt, Germany, on March 8. According to the statement, Cardoz was taken to Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, New Jersey, about a week ago with a fever and later tested positive for Covid-19.

Cardoz was also a partner in the Bombay Sweet Shop ‘O Pedro’ and The Bombay Canteen in India at the time of his death. In 1997, he co-founded Tabla with the Union Square Hospitality Group, managed by renowned restaurateur Danny Meyer. The Manhattan restaurant was hailed by critics. It closed its doors in 2010. His death was mourned by friends in the restaurant and television sectors.

Meyer described him as a “wonderful human being” in a tweet, adding, “Love you very much @floydcardoz.” Furthermore, the two had a 17-year history of working together. The “Top Chef” Twitter account, which offered condolences, characterized Cardoz as an “inspiration to chefs around the world.” Cardoz captioned a photo of himself in a medical gown on his own Instagram page:

“Please accept my heartfelt apologies to everyone. With my earlier post, I apologized for causing unwarranted concerns. Because I was feeling feverish, I admitted myself to a hospital in New York as a precaution. Furthermore, I was worried about my health, and my message was incredibly reckless, causing widespread worry. I flew from Frankfurt to New York on March 8th.”
