Early childhood development and education

Gary Chapman was born in Waurika, Oklahoma, on August 19, 1957. He is the son of Rev. Terry W. Chapman, an Assemblies of God pastor who served for 56 years before passing away in 2009, and Mary Chapman, his mother.

Gary Chapman relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where he was hired to play guitar for The Rambos, a rock band.
