Guru always aspired to be a singer and used to compete in school singing competitions when he was in school. He began his musical education by watching TV and listening to famous singers. He continued to study music, but his priority was to complete his education.

Guru Randhawa has given numerous stage appearances both in India and internationally. He rose to prominence as a result of his song Patola (2015), which he co-wrote with Bohemia.

Guru Randhawa earned his master’s degree in business administration from the IIPM (Indian Planning and Management Institute) in New Delhi, India.

Despite having an MBA, his first love was singing, and he had been practicing for almost fifteen years. He decided to pursue his interest after finishing his schooling.

While on tour in Canada in 2019, he was the victim of an assault. According to reports, Guru Randhawa was attacked from behind while exiting Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre. The assault left him with minor injuries, including four stitches on his forehead.

The assailant was a Punjabi man who had repeatedly attempted to climb onto the stage while Guru was playing. Members of the audience tried to restrain the perpetrator, but he was shielded by several of his pals. After attacking numerous persons, the group departed the site.

He once collaborated on the song ‘Slowly Slowly’ with American rapper Pitbull. David Warner, an Australian cricketer, later posted a TikTok video of himself and his family dancing to the song.
