Hasan Minhaj is an Indian-American comedian and actor who has been a senior correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show since 2014. On May 23, 2017, he released his first stand-up comedy special, Homecoming King, on Netflix, in which he discussed growing up in an Indian American Muslim family.

The state of Georgia, Disaster Date, and Arrested Development are among his other television credits. He was named International Man of the Year at the GQ India Men of the Year Awards in 2017. Minhaj won Wild 94.9’s Best Comic Standing competition in 2008, giving him the chance to open for comedians such as Pablo Francisco, Katt Williams, and Gabriel Iglesias.

He moved to Los Angeles the following year, where he became a finalist on NBC’s Stand-up for Diversity. In 2010, he appeared in two episodes of the comedy web series The Legend of Neil as a guest star.

Minhaj also hosted the 2013 show Stand Up Planet and starred in Hasan Minhaj’s 2014 web series The Truth. He was also nominated for a BTVA Video Game Voice Acting Award for Best Vocal Ensemble for his work in the action-adventure first-person shooter video game Far Cry 4.
