Amethyst Amelia Kelly, better known as Iggy Azalea, was born on June 7, 1990, in Sydney, Australia. Brendan and Tanya Kelly are her parents, and she has two siblings, Emerald and Mathias Kelly.
They are ordinary, if slightly odd, folks, with Brendan working as a comic book artist and Tanya working as a cleaner for vacation rentals and motels in the area. Brendan built their 12-acre family home out of mud bricks and frequently shared his love of art with his children. Iggy’s background had a strong influence on her, and she always felt different from other youngsters.
Iggy’s family history in Australia extends back to the early 1900s. She claims she is of Aboriginal Australian ancestry because she and her family share a unique eye ailment that only Aboriginal peoples have.
