Mike described his late wife as “lovely, compassionate, and loving” in an interview with ESPN. Mark has also formed the Mike Zimmer Foundation in honor of his late wife, Vikky, which focuses on improving the lives of children in need, much like his late wife used to do.

They were later blessed with a daughter, whom they named Marki Zimmer, in 1987. Corri Zimmer, their second child, was born in 1990.
Mike’s firstborn, Adam Zimmer, follows in the footsteps of his father and grandpa, Bill Zimmer. He is the co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. Bill was a long-time football coach at Lockport High School. In August of 2015, he died away.
