In 1988, she starred in “Tucker: The Man and His Dream,” which tells the tale of Preston Tucker, a maverick vehicle designer, and his quest to alter the car world with his inventive ideas.

She had several notable projects in the 1990s, including starring in “Nixon” opposite Anthony Hopkins, which got generally excellent reviews from audiences and was honored with Felix, Critics Choice, and CFCA Awards, as well as four Oscar nominations.
