Ken Jeong is an American actor and comedian who rose to prominence after her outstanding performance on the sitcom Community.

He was born Kendrick Kang-Joh “Ken” Jeong in Detroit, Michigan, to South Korean immigrant mother Young and father Dong-Kuen Jeong on July 13, 1969. Dong, his father, was a professor at Greensboro, North Carolina’s North Carolina A&T State University. Greensboro was Ken’s home for the majority of his childhood. Ken is an American citizen.

Ken Jeong began performing Improv in 1997 in New Orleans. Following that, he appeared in four episodes of Madtv. Following that, he appeared in single episodes of a variety of television shows, including Crossing Jordan, Two and a Half Men, and The Shield, to name a few. In 2007, he made his film debut in Knocked Up. Following his performance, Ken went on to play Leslie Chow in The Hangover, The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, Despicable Me, The Hangover Part II, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, The Muppets, Despicable Me 2, Penguins of Madagascar, and Han in Advantageous, for which he is also the producer. Ken has appeared in a number of television shows, including American Dad, Community, Burning Love, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and Turbo Fast, to name a few.
