Kristina Akra is an American host and reporter who is best known for her work on FoxSports South College as a host and reporter. She is also employed by MLB Network.
Early childhood development and education
Kristina Akra was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on June 21, 1983. She earned a news broadcasting degree from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications in 2006.
Karen Akra, her father, and J.P Akra, her mother, are her parents. Katherine Akra is her younger sister. She is a citizen of the United States.
Career
Kristina began her career as a reporter for Gator Vision, a University of Florida-affiliated company that produced weekly reports and interviews for GatorZone.
Akra is also a popular, trained dancer with more than 20 years of experience in teaching and choreographing, having continued her craft as a four-year member of the UF Dazzler Dance team at the University of Florida.
Kristina worked in the Nation’s Capital for Mid-Atlantic Sports Network as an in-game reporter for the Washington Nationals in 2012.
Prior to joining MASN, she worked as a co-host for FoxSports South’s college football preview show and as a sideline reporter for SEC Football on the FS South Game broadcast crew.
From 2010 to 2011, Kristina covered Providence College home games as a sideline reporter for CoxSports and the Big East Networks. She also hosted “Friars All Access,” which gave fans an inside look at the PC Basketball Program with province Head Coach Keno Davis.
In 2010, she also worked for Kraft Sports Production. As the host and producer of Patriots Today, a daily web show on the team’s official site, patriot.com, she covered the Patriots all year.
Kristina is married in her personal life.
She is married to John Fitzpatrick, the President/CEO of Automotive Direct & Digital Marketing company Force Marketing. On March 9, 2014, the couple married in Atlanta, Georgia.
They have a son named James, who was born on March 24, 2016.
