Landon Timothy Donovan is the all-time leading goal scorer and probably the best soccer player of all time, with numerous awards and the most caps. He currently plays forward for the Los Angeles Galaxy. He is also a key member of the United States men’s national soccer team, where he is the only player to score 50 goals and assist 50 times, as well as a four-time winner of the US Soccer Athlete of the Year and a five-time winner of the Major League Soccer Cup. Early Life And Education

Landon was born in Ontario, California on March 4th, 1982. He was forced to join the Cal Heat organized league, where he scored seven goals in his first game. Career

After spotting Donovan at a youth tournament in Europe, the German club Bayer Leverkusen signed him to a six-year contract in 1999. All-time MLS scoring

He signed a four-year contract extension with the club that included clauses allowing him to be loaned to other MLS teams during the offseason. On August 1, 2010, he scored his 100th goal in Major League Soccer, and on September 18, 2010, he became the team’s all-time leading scorer. Galaxy won the Supporters’ Shield the following year. The following season, Galaxy won the same title. In the 2011 MLS Cup, Donovan won his fourth MLS Cup title, scoring the game-winning goal against Houston Dynamo. He was named the MVP of the MLS Cup.
