Laurette Spang-McCook is an actress from the United States who is best known for her roles in television shows and films. She is best known for her role as Cassiopeia in the first season of the science-fiction drama Battlestar Galactica, which aired in 1978.

As part of her major, Laurette traveled to New York in 1967 and met actress Kathryn Leigh Scott, who convinced her to audition for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. After graduation, she was accepted and studied there on a scholarship, graduating two years later, in 1969. She returned to Michigan and enrolled at Adrian College, where she lived in a dorm room.
