The cast of VH1’s docu-series Cartel Crew has returned after a year and a half hiatus. The show, set in Miami, follows the lives of cartel families’ sons and daughters as they navigate life after cartel. But it is easier said than done, and they frequently find themselves at a fork in the road. The journey is characterized by aimless meandering and ghosts from their pasts. It’s difficult for the descendants of cartel king and queen pins to carve out new futures, but that doesn’t stop them from working hard to legitimately expand their businesses and careers. Michael Corleone Blanco, the crew’s unofficial leader, is one such member.

Blanco’s Early Years

Despite Blanco’s unusual upbringing, his mother maintained a sense of normalcy in their lives. She was very involved in his life, renting out entire theaters to watch movies, taking him to amusement parks, and providing him with a family life just like any other kid. Despite the difficulties she faced as a drug lord, Griselda juggled her role as a mother admirably. Blanco recalls fondly his mother’s lavish parties in their mansion, as well as his favorite Colombian soup she made.

Blanco’s New Beginnings

People with that kind of family history would prefer to live a private life, and Blanco was taught to do so as a child. However, when the opportunity to appear in a reality docu-series arose, Blanco felt it was the right time to share his story. Marie Ramirez De Arellano, his fiancée, expressed similar sentiments. Arellano was born into the cartel life, and he and Blanco have a history of crime. Her father kept his business private, and after she began dating Blanco, she lost contact with her family. After leaving the drug scene, the couple went on to start their own businesses. Blanco established his own Pure Blanco lifestyle, which focuses on “fashion, film, music, cannabis, and licensing of the Pure Blanco brand,” according to the official website.

Meanwhile, Arellano runs her own beauty line called Mia Monroe and helps Blanco with all of his business ventures. Blanco’s net worth is estimated to be around $5 million as a successful entrepreneur. Having said that, Blanco hasn’t decided when he’ll marry Arellano. Blanco hopes that through the show, people will be able to see a side of him that is not portrayed in the media.
