Milt Wagner, a retired American professional basketball player and former assistant coach for the Auburn Tigers, gave birth to Dajuan Wagner on February 4, 1983, in Camden, New Jersey. Milt, his father, won the NBA championship in 1988, the NCAA championship in 1986, and was named to the All-Metro Conference First Team twice.

Dajuan went on to Camden High School, where he was a standout basketball player. He went on to score 100 points in a game that he is remembered for. As a senior, he scored 3462 points, averaging 42.5 points per game. This is thought to be the highest point ever reached by a New Jersey high school. In the McDonald’s All-American Game, he also scored 25 points. He is widely regarded as the finest high school basketball player in the history of New Jersey. Dajuan then went on to play collegiate basketball for a year at the University of Memphis, where he was coached by John Calipari, who later forced him to enter the NBA. As a result, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him in the first round of the 2002 NBA draft as the 6th overall choice. In 2002, he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers as a point guard.

Dajuan averaged 13.4 points per game in his first season and shot only 36.9% from the field. Later in the season, Dajuan was plagued with injuries and health issues. He went on to have a career-low scoring average of 4.0 points in only 11 games during the 2004-2005 season. Wagnmer went on to train at Nexxt Level Sports in Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey, after undergoing ulcerative colitis surgery. However, after only one game, in which he scored four points, he was dismissed by the Warriors on November 20th. On August 31, 2007, Dajuan signed a one-year contract with Prokom Trefl Sopot of Poland. In the six games he participated, he averaged 8.3 points per possession. After his contract expired and he suffered a hip and knee injury, he returned to South Jersey.

Outside of the courtroom, Dajuan is a very shy person who doesn’t talk much about his marriage or his children. Dajuan Junior, his 10-year-old son, is a major source of motivation for him to play basketball. Dajuan’s son, who is 10 years old, is one of the reasons he continues to play basketball.

Dajuan is 32 years old, weighs 91 kilograms, and stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall. His rookie contract in Cleveland paid him roughly $10.7 million. Dajuan signed a two-year, $1.6 million contract with the Golden State Warriors on September 22, 2006. He was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital with ulcerative colitis, a life-threatening inflammation of the colon. On the 25th of October 2005, Dajuan underwent surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital to have his entire colon removed. He bears the tattoo “Messiah” on his left biceps and is also known as “Messiah.” Dajuan was selected as the Naismith Prep Player of the Year in 2001.
