Olesya spent the majority of her childhood in Likhoslavi, a town in Russia’s Tver Oblast. She immigrated to the United States when she was eight years old to join her father, who had returned a few years before. They lived in Texas before moving to Utah, where she attended Jordan Middle School and trained in ballet. She entered a model search contest at the urging of her mother and was successful, gaining representation with four agencies.
