Paul Sparks is an American actor best known for portraying gangster Mickey Doyle in HBO’s period drama Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014). In addition to House of Cards, The Girlfriend Experience, The Night Of, Stealing Cars, and Parkland, he is known for his acting abilities.

Paul Sparks was born in the United States on October 16, 1971, as Paul W. Sparks in Lawton, Oklahoma. Mike Sparks is his father, and Jane Sparks is his mother. Jon Bielich, the actor, is his cousin.
In 1990, Sparks graduated from Marlow High School. He studied chemistry at Oklahoma State University on a scholarship. Paul went on to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theater in 1995.
Career
Spark’s professional career began in 1998 with the television series Trinity. She then acted in films and television shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Headspace, The Treatment, Brotherhood, Blackbird, The Understudy, 2009 The Missing Person, Underemployed, and Parkland.
Paul rose to fame after starring alongside Steve Buscemi, Michael Pitt, Stephen Graham, Vincent Piazza, Jack Huston, and others in the period crime thriller television series Boardwalk Empire (2010-2014).
