With his distinct touch, Lontrell Williams, better known as Pooh Shiesty, aspires to build a fresh sound for his hometown of Memphis. His music conveys his feelings about where he grew up.

Memphis, Shiesty explained to Genius, sounds like “grime and trying to make it.” He also talked about how he felt about his music and how he wanted it to reflect his heritage.

I feel like my music is on a next generation type level. So I’m trying to change some things. It’s so crazy I didn’t look for nobody to be in my sound. Getting tired of hearing songs, putting my own lyrics on and that’s where it [his music] came from.

What is the origin of Pooh Shiesty?

Pooh Shiesty was born and raised in the Cane Creek Apartments on Memphis’ south side. He lived in Pflugerville, Texas for two years. When he returned to Memphis, he enrolled in summer school in order to complete his high school education.

I followed in my father’s footsteps

His brother isn’t the only one in his family that is a musician. His father, who founded Memphis-based Mob Ties Records and rapped under the moniker Mob Boss, inspired him to pursue music. Since he was a child, his father has taken him to record studios.

Success In Music And Legal Issues

Shiesty’s lyrics are gritty and generally discuss his street cred. He got himself into legal problems multiple times after his rapid ascent to fame.

The rapper was arrested on October 9, 2020, for his involvement in a double shooting in Bay Harbor Islands. Shiesty was allegedly involved in a “drug and costly sneaker deal went wrong,” according to the police.

Along with him, two others were detained. One of the two claimed he met up with Shiesty to buy a pair of Air Jordan 4 sneakers, while the other claimed he was there to sell the rapper marijuana and collect payment for a car he was renting to Shiesty.

The ‘Back In Blood’ hitmaker was charged with armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon causing great bodily damage, aggravated assault with a firearm, and theft, according to Complex. He was eventually released after posting a $30,000 bond.

Meanwhile, pled not guilty to the allegations and had been out on bail since March until his most recent arrest on June 8, 2021. Saam Zangeneh and Bradford Cohen, Shiesty’s lawyers, are said to have arranged for his surrender on the same day, and he has since been granted a $10,000 bond. However, he remained in custody until June 10 because he was scheduled to appear in court for a separate incident that occurred in December.

Pooh Shiesty Girlfriend

Shiesty’s girlfriend frequently posts about his music and money on social media. In comparison to his professional life, he keeps his personal life quiet. Despite the fact that the 21-year-old musician has kept his personal life quiet, videos of him with a girlfriend have gone viral in the past.

Shiesty has been silent regarding his relationship and hasn’t commented on any of these videos. Despite keeping his personal life out of the spotlight, he hasn’t been immune to dating rumors. In May 2021, rumors began to circulate that he had hooked up with a trans lady named Nicki P.

It all started when Nicki P shared a video with the caption “Wit Yo Favorite Rapper” and a screenshot of a man wearing 1017 chains. Shiesty addressed the situation on Instagram Live, stating that the screenshot was not of him. To put an end to the speculations, he also stated that he had no neck tattoo.

In May 2021, Shiesty drew the attention of people once more after allegedly being robbed of $40,000 at a Miami nightclub. He later denied the charges on Instagram, claiming that nothing had been taken from him.
