Samantha Logan is an American-born Trinidadian–Irish actor, best known for her appearances as Nina Jones in the series 13 Reasons Why and Olivia Baker in the series All American.

Samantha was born in Boston but pushed her mother to move to New York aged 10, primarily because she intended to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

She made her TV debut with Gossip Girl in 2009. Samantha Logan then featured in 666 Park Avenue and General Hospital, before winning the lead roles in 13 Reasons Why and All American. She loves traveling and volunteering for charitable causes.

Samantha Logan was born on October 27, 1996, in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S. She is of Irish origin from her mother’s side and of Trinidadian lineage from her father’s side.

Her parents parted when she was still pretty little. Following this, Samantha was raised by her mother, Colleen Logan. At 10, she urged her mother to move to Manhattan, New York, simply to follow her love for acting.

She joined the Professional Performing Arts (middle) School to study musical theater and then attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia Arts (Fame) to continue her high-school education, finally concentrating in drama.

She had the opportunity to work as a protégé under well-known choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Laurieann Gibson, Brian Friedman, and Dave Scott.

Professional Career

While in New York, Samantha Logan was part of national advertisements, theater, and live singing and dance performances.

In 2009, she starred in an episode of the adolescent drama Gossip Girl. In 2011, she was seen as Lola in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The same year, she appeared in the film Detachment.

Samantha Logan had her first breakthrough role aged 14, in Samantha Logan’s spooky thriller 666 Park Avenue, which featured her as series regular Nona Clark in seven episodes (2012–2013).

On 2013, she played Taylor DuBois in the Samantha Logan medical drama General Hospital. The following year, she was featured as Heather in the comedy picture Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

In 2014, she starred as Stella in the sitcom Melissa & Joey and as Violet in Teen Wolf. She then starred as Tia Stephens in seven episodes of The Fosters (2014–2015). She also played Imani Rogers in Members Only, a 2015 series that finally went unaired. The same year, she also played Emma in the pilot Studio City.

In 2016, she was seen in one-episode roles in Comedy Bang! Bang! (as Jade) and in NCIS (as Riley Davis) (as Riley Davis). The same year, she appears as Cassidy in the pilot Cruel Intentions.

However, the recurring character of Nina Jones in the famous Netflix teen series 13 Reasons Why made her a household name. The series was based on Jay Asher’s 2007 novel of the same name. Samantha starred in 13 episodes of the second season of the series, in 2018.

Family & Life

Samantha Logan began dating actor Dylan Sprayberry, her Teen Wolf co-star, in 2017. Dylan is well renowned for his performance in the film Man of Steel.

Dylan and Samantha were regularly seen posting their images together on social media. During Christmas 2018, Samantha published a photo of them on Instagram, with the message “2013 -> 2018.”

On February 14, 2019, she uploaded a picture of them creating pottery together, with the comment “Happy Valentine’s Day” and then added, “I adore this goober so much it hurts.”

However, it is claimed that the two had parted up. They have not shared any images of one other on their individual social media profiles for a long time.
