Sean Spicer

Do you know Who is Sean Spicer?

Sean Michael Spicer was born in North Hempstead, New York State, USA on September 23, 1971, and is a political aide best known for serving as White House Press Secretary and acting White House Communications Director in 2017. He previously served as the Republican National Committee’s communications director and chief strategist. He’s been involved in politics since the late 1990s, but he only recently gained prominence, thanks to controversial or false statements he made while serving as White House Press Secretary.

Early Life

Sean attended the Portsmouth Abbey School in Rhode Island and volunteered for various local political campaigns during his time there. He enrolled in 1989 and went on to Connecticut College to pursue a degree in government. During his time at university, he became a student senator and graduated in 1993. Later, he would attend the Naval War College to pursue a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies.

Career

After finishing his studies, he worked on several political campaigns, including those for Mike Pappas, Clay Shaw, Mark Foley, and Frank LoBiondo. He then joined the United States Navy Reserve as a public affairs officer, eventually rising to the rank of commander. He was appointed communications director for the House Government Reform Committee in 2000, and then incumbent retention director for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). Following his tenure there, he became the spokesman and communications director for the House Budget Committee in 2003, a position he held for the next two years, and then became an assistant for media and public affairs at the Office of the US Trade Representative during President George W. Bush’s administration. His net worth would steadily rise as a result of his numerous endeavors.

Spicer joined the public relations firm Endeavor Global Strategies, which he co-founded in 2009 to represent foreign governments and corporations in the United States. Some of his clients included the Colombian government, but he left the firm two years later when he was appointed communications director for the Republican National Committee, which he assisted by building an in-house television production team, before becoming the RNC’s chief strategist in 2015; interestingly, he was very critical of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump for his comments against Mexicans and Senator John McCain.

Despite this, Trump appointed Sean as White House press secretary following his election. He later became communications director following the unexpected resignation of Jason Miller. In 2017, he drew a lot of flak for declaring President Trump’s inaugural ceremony. It drew the largest audience ever to witness an inauguration. A claim that was later debunked by numerous sources and supported by numerous photographs of previous ceremonies. But he would later defend his claim in his first official press conference. When he said that the crowd he was referring to was the huge draw from social media online.

Trump was later reported to have been dissatisfied with Spicer’s performance during his first two weeks in office. The remarks were widely condemned, especially because they occurred during the Jewish Passover holiday.

Net Worth

As of early 2018, sources estimate his net worth to be $6 million. He earned an annual salary of $176,461 as White House press secretary, according to reports. He also has investments in several major corporations, including a $100,000 stake in McDonald’s and $50,000 stakes in Coca-Cola, Verizon, and AT&T. Sean Spicer also owns four investment rental properties in Alexandria, Virginia, which has contributed to his increased net worth.

Relationship Status

Sean married television producer Rebecca Miller at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in 2004. The couple has two children and lives in Alexandria, Virginia. His wife is now the National Beer Wholesalers Association’s senior vice president of communications and public affairs.
