Susanna Hoffs is a singer, guitarist, actor, and songwriter from the United States. She is best recognized for being a founding member of The Bangles. Hoffs is well renowned for her roles in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and its two sequels. The vocalist has a number of solo albums under his belt, including When You’re A Boy and Someday.

Susanna Hoffs was born to a Jewish family in Los Angeles, California, on January 17, 1959. Tamar Ruth and Joshua Allen Hoffs are her parents. Her father is a psychotherapist, while her mother is a director, writer, and producer. Jesse and John Hoffs are her two brothers.
Hoffs graduated from Palisades High School in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, in 1976. She started working as a production assistant after graduation.

The Bangs’ co-founder
Susanna Hoffs and her friends Debbi Peterson and Vicki Peterson formed the punk band The Bangs. Hoffs was heavily influenced by the Ramones and other punk bands.
The Bangs released their first album, The Night Before It Was Passed, in 1989. After a legal lawsuit by an East Coast boy band, they changed their name to The Bangles.

In 1988, The Bangles released their third album, Everything. The band released a single titled “In Your Room” in the same year, which was written by Hoffs. The track finally charted in the top ten.
The Bangles were disbanded in 1989 due to a misunderstanding, but they reformed a year later.
The band subsequently went on to record another hit, Get the Girl. In addition, the band released Doll Revolution, their fourth album, in 2003.

Susanna Hoffs made her acting debut in Andrew Davis’ film Stony Island, which was released in 1978. The Haircut and The Allnighter are two of her other early projects.
