Career

Tanoai Reed and his cousin, Dwayne Johnson, have always been interested in performing. Because of their similar appearances, he has performed a number of stunts as a body double for Dwayne Johnson. He went on to do further work for a range of films after that.

Reed plays a villain in the Black Eyed Peas music video for Pump It, in which he attacks Fergie. Reed also plays the gladiator Toa in the 2008 relaunch of American Gladiators. He gave an abridged rendition of Ka Mate in the first episode of Gladiators.

He starred alongside Eliza Dushku, Harry Lennix, Fran Kranz, and others in the American science fiction television series Dollhouse in 2009. In the same year, he starred as Taggart in Against The Dark, a 2009 American action horror thriller.
