With a shared passion for fishing, the angler couple is enjoying their marriage both on and off the boat.

Together since the early 2010s,

Barros and her husband have never revealed when they started dating, but according to the fish catcher’s social media handle, the couple has been together since 2014. Back in February 2014, the fisherwoman posted her first photo with Captain Nelson.
Since then, she has consistently posted photos of herself with him, referring to him as her man and life partner.

The couple’s wedding date and details, on the other hand, are missing from the regular uploads. So much so that their marriage could only be confirmed when Nelson posted a picture of himself with her on Instagram on April 3, 2021, and referred to her as his beautiful wife.

During an exclusive interview with Boating World on November 16, 2017, Barros discussed her relationship with her husband. She claimed she had a good relationship with her partner. She described fishing and living with the Captain as a blessing, citing her partner’s unwavering support.

When asked if fishing helped couples, she said yes, adding that having a common interest gave a couple more time to communicate and strengthen their bond.The spearfishing lady explained that when she and her partner are catching fish, they are on the same page, which also applies when they are not fishing.

When looking through the couple’s social media, her statement rings true. They post pictures of each other and share glimpses of their happy marriage and wonderful fishing adventures on a regular and unafraid basis.

The fisher couple travels to various locations around the world to catch different species of fish. Fishing moments from around the world, frequently captured and featured on Barros’ YouTube channel Fishing with Luiza.

In addition, the adventures, aired on the Sportsman Channel in the show Livin’ the Dream with Captain Jimmy Nelson. The show premiered in January 2018.The couple has traveled to exotic locations such as the Caribbean, Grand Cayman, Costa Rica, Florida, Bahamas, and Mexico, where they have done offshore and inshore fishing, lobstering, scalloping, spearfishing, and many other activities.
