Divergent star Theo James, like many others in Hollywood, has a habit of keeping his personal life private. Despite this, the actor made headlines in September 2018 when he married his longtime girlfriend, Ruth Kearney.

According to Hype, James and Kearney married in 2018 in a beautiful ceremony in Chianti, Italy.
The outlet also published photos of the couple walking hand in hand on their wedding day. The groom wore a classic navy blue suit with a formal white shirt. The bride, Kearney, looked stunning in an elegant white gown with a plunging neckline. They were surrounded by family and friends when they died.

The adorable couple reportedly engaged in 2015.  After a year,  James rose to fame as a result of his role in Divergent.
However, the alleged start of their romance dates back even further. James and Kearney were said to have been dating since 2009, after meeting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. They began dating in public in 2012, when the actor invited Kearney to the premiere of Underworld: Awakening.
Having said that, there has been no official word from the actor on the matter, as he is notoriously tight-lipped about his romantic life.

Kearney, like James, has carved her own path to stardom, with credits including the sci-fi hit Primeval, The Following, and the massive Netflix hit Flaked. The actress also admitted that she actively avoids reading reviews of her work and even looks at feedback on social media platforms.
James Sang Applauds His Wife Although both husband and wife try to keep their relationship private, James has spoken publicly about his wife on several occasions. In an interview with the Evening Standard in March 2020. The Downton Abbey star described his wife as “very sanguine, thoughtful, and funny.” . He went on to say that the two of them, together made sense to him from the beginning of their relationship.
Even though being in show business wasn’t always easy, the actor admitted that going through those difficulties together strengthened their relationship and helped them cultivate a long-lasting relationship.
