Chang started 50 of his 53 career games as a quarterback for the University of Hawaii Warriors from 2000 to 2004.

Chang eclipsed Kingsbury’s previous NCAA career best of 2,156 plays. Chang’s total offense of 16,910 yards broke Detmer’s record of 14,465 yards.
Chang was also a four-time Western Athletic Conference All-Star after rushing for six touchdowns.
