Tomica Wright was born Tomica Woods in Los Angeles, California in 1969. Every year on December 7th, she celebrates her birthday. She was raised by her divorced parents. As a result, she lived in one town with her mother, another with her father, and sometimes in a foster home.

Tomica graduated from San Fernando Valley High School. Later, she attended Santa Monica College after finishing high school and later West Los Angeles College.
She Married at the Age of 26 Wright met American rapper Eric Lynn Wright (Eazy-E) in a Los Angeles nightclub in 1991. They began dating after a brief friendship. Eazy-E already had five children from his five different relationships at the time.

Tomica Wright’s impression was not harmed by his previous relationships. She continued to date him. Not only that, but in 1994, she gave birth to her son, Dominick Wright, now known as Lil Eazy. In addition, she became pregnant with their daughter, Daijah Wright.

She married the famous rapper at the age of 26 while pregnant. They had been dating for four years before getting married on March 14, 1995.

On April 7, 1995, Wright’s partner was buried in a gold casket at Rose Hills Memorial Park. Daijah Wright, her daughter, was born six months after her mother died.

Following the death of her husband, Eazy-E, Wright took over his company, Ruthless Records, and became its CEO. She had previous experience managing record labels as she had previously worked for Tabu Records and Motown.

Her actions drew criticism, with many claiming that she married Eazy-E on his deathbed in order to inherit his business. Undaunted by the criticism, Wright forged ahead, accepting the challenge of expanding the record label in her late husband’s memory. Her astute business strategies accelerated the company’s distribution deals within two years.

Wright, as CEO of the company, even filed a lawsuit in August 2017 against her stepson, Eric Darnell, a musician and HIV activist. She claimed that he and his partners were profiting illegally from the company’s name on their website, ruthlessrecordsinc.com.
However, the two settled their lawsuit in 2018, and Eazy’s son agreed to a clause in the agreement prohibiting him from using the names “Straight Outta Compton,” “N.W.A.”, and “Ruthless.” He could, however, use “Rich & Ruthless.”
