After the tragic death of his first wife, Selena Quintanilla, American guitarist Chris Pérez married Vanessa Villanueva.
He and Villanueva had two children together. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last long, and they divorced.

So, what happened to Pérez’s second wife? Everything we know about her is included below.

The First Wife of Chris Pérez Selena Quintanilla is a Mexican actress.

From April 2, 1992, to March 1995, Pérez was married to Spanish singer Selena Quintanilla.
Pérez met Selena in 1989 when he was hired as the new guitarist for Selena’s band, Selena y Los Dinos. He rapidly became an important member of the band, and he became close to Selena as a result.

On April 2, 1992, the pair eloped after dating for over two years. Selena’s parents were supposedly against their relationship at first, so they had to flee and marry in secret.

Selena was murdered by her manager Yolanda Saldvar on March 31, 1995, putting an end to their lovely love tale.
In 2017, he described how it felt to meet his late wife for the first time.

“I’m a shy person by nature, and there was just something about her that she was able to pull me out.”

In 2001, Chris Pérez and Vanessa Villanueva married.

Before marrying Pérez, Vanessa led a rather low-key existence. Her early life and family facts have remained a mystery to the public.

Around 1996-1997, Villanueva was introduced to Pérez by a mutual friend, John Garza. Following that, the two began to meet on a regular basis and finally began dating.
On October 26, 2001, Villanueva married Pérez. They have two children together: Cassie Pérez, a daughter, and Noah Pérez, a son.

Noah was born with Down syndrome, which Villanueva was aware of during her pregnancy. Doctors even persuaded her to have a late abortion, but she declined.

In 2008, the couple divorced.

Pérez and Vanessa’s marriage was short-lived. In April 2008, the couple split after nearly seven years of marriage. Many publications reported that Pérez’s drinking habit was the cause of their breakup, and that he was still in love with his first wife.

Following the divorce, Villanueva is said to have gotten all of Pérez’s assets as a spousal provision.

Vanessa Villanueva and her new husband have moved on.

Villanueva moved on in both her career and personal life after her divorce from Pérez.

She has two movie credits to her name on the professional front. In the 2011 film Memphis Rising: Elvis Returns, she worked in the camera and electrical departments. She also portrayed Gaby Valdez in the 2015 television series Forgotten Memories.

V’s Day Spa, a nail salon with a private spa in Portland, Texas, was also started by her. Then, for the second time, the Corpus Christi native tied the knot.
