Wolfgang Van Halen has had enough of taunts about his weight.

Wolfgang Van Halen is getting a lot of backlash for his weight and nepotism.

Wolfgang Van Halen is widely seen as a product of nepotism. Wolfgang Van Halen is the only son of Eddie Van Halen, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has been the bassist in his band, Van Halen, since 2006. While he has a successful job, he is frequently mocked for his weight.
Don’t Back Down, a new EP by the thirty-year-old musician, was recently released. Wolfgang was chastised for not matching his father’s stature, but he was also chastised for not controlling his weight.

The Hate Comments Saga

Wolfgang casually tweeted in August 2020 that he had just completed “adult” tasks such as vacuuming the living room and cleaning the couch cushions. While the most of the comments were lighthearted, one disgruntled user went after his alleged privilege.

Wolfgang responded by tweeting that if they were going to criticize him, they could at least use appropriate grammar. Living in the shadow of his late father, jokes and taunts about nepotism and body weight are a dead horse, according to the tweet. He sarcastically urged his detractors to be more imaginative towards the end of his tweet.

Wolfgang began receiving fat-shaming comments in 2007, when he had just recently joined his father’s band. Around the same time, People ran an article titled “I Know Why I’m Fat” about the sixteen-year-old musician and his family, in which Wolfgang was shown to struggle with portion control when on a diet.

At the time, his mother, Valerie Bertinelli (an Emmy Award-winning actor), had recently started a diet and lost 10 pounds in three weeks, which is why she placed Halen on the same diet.

Continuing on the Path of Weight Loss

While there has been no clear record of how much weight Wolfgang has shed, it is suspected that he maintains a diet program considering his before and now images. The musician, who turned thirty on March 16, 2021, celebrated his birthday by dining on the little cakes that sported the emblem of his new solo endeavor.
In August and September last year, he published a post on Instagram emphasizing how much he enjoys his mother’s cuisine. Knowing Bertinelli is still on a diet, it would not be a stretch to presume that Wolfgang is on one too.
